First released in Japan and then the US several years later, the film tells the story of five university students that have come to the Japanese Alps in Nagano for a skiing vacation. The students are trapped in a blizzard and when a rescue party goes to find them, huge foot prints are found in the snow near bodies of several of the dead students.
Six months later, after the thaw, another search party returns where they encounter a young Yeti and capturing it. Adult Yeti kill the leader of the group and after piles of Yeti bones, poisonous mushrooms and sulfer pits, the Yeti and killed.
