Today is National Beer Day, so lets look at some of the awesome Bigfoot, Yeti, and Sasquatch themed beers out there.
Sierra Nevada’s Bigfoot Barleywine Style Ale boosts a whooping 9.6% alcohol by volume and will definitely get you ‘wandering around looking for Bigfoot’ mood.
Rouge River Brewery’s Batsquatch beer is named after the mysterious winged humanoid described as 1/2 bat and 1/2 sasquatch. It is described as a hazy IPA and quiet tasty. I used their Finder Web App and was able to find a six pack at a grocery store nearby. They also have tshirts and stickers available at their online store.
Comes in both 12 ounce and tallboy cans, The Great Divide’s Yeti Imperial Stout is a thick malty stout with hints of toffee and roast caramel.
Hopworks Abominable Winter Ale
Party Like Sasquatch Bigfoot Porter from Hop Capital Brewery
A triple IPA from San Diego, Harry & the Senderson’s Hazy IPA by Mason Ale Works
Similar to the 80’s movie Harry and the Hendersons, we tried to make a big over the top Sasquatch like beer. We Triple Dry Hopped this Hazy Triple IPA with 8lbs of hops per barrel of Citra, Mosaic, and Galaxy. You first pick up aromas of peach, mango, and citrus. Slight bitterness with pine notes and while finishing with a soft mouthfeel.
Screaming Sasquatch Hoptart IPA by Main Street Brewing
Screaming Sasquatch is a Fresh Hop Tart IPA 5.8%, from Main Street Brewing. Brewed with Sasquatch Hops resulting in a beer that is fresh with flavours of sweet citrus. And the right amount of tart to get your sasquatch senses tingling
